(Google Play) is updated with the translation of Android apps in 2023

Well, the American giant has just announced a new change in its App Store that benefits developers and users: a function that will automatically translate Android apps into a total of 7 languages.

At the recent Google for Games Summit event, Google announced the launch of a new Google Play function that will allow developers to automatically translate their Android apps for free.

Initially, this feature will be available for a total of 7 languages, although it will be available in more languages in the near future:

  Chinese

  French

  German

  indonesian

  Japanese

  Portuguese

  Spanish

From what we know so far, these Google Play translations will use the same technology that Google Translate uses to translate app text (via XML or CSV files), store listings, and product descriptions into other languages.

This new functionality will not only be useful for app developers, who will no longer have to use Google's premium translation service that charged them for every word translated, but also for app store users because they will be able to see descriptions of these in their native language without having to use a translator. .

Currently, this automatic app translation feature is not available to all developers, as all those who wish to enjoy this functionality will have to apply for its early access program.
